Yeah I'm going to say it they don't like black people in their store, my daughter and I and my grandson stopped in so she could buy quite a few items the woman at the cashier was very nice to my grandson who happens to be half Korean I did not have a problem with her it was the guy I guess was the owner who drives the white Mercedes that sits in front of the store we did not know their closing time we were in the back my daughter was picking up items out of their refrigerator suddenly they turn the lights off we were in complete darkness I don't know why they did not say we were closing in a few minutes or even warn us they can't say they did not know we were back there because I saw Hispanic people roaming around the store they did not say anything to us after everyone left like hey we are closing now or we will be closing in a few minutes nope if I hadn't had my grandson who is about 1 1/2 years old in my arms he would have fell over and severely got hurt in the dark I don't know why they felt it was to be extremely rude like that if you don't want us in your store simply tell us, we would have left my daughter end up spending about $40 that night I told her afterwards and many other friends never to shop there because of my experience yes my daughter is half black and white I don't see what was so hard about just simply saying hey we are about to close will definitely make sure none of my friends shop there we will continue to shop at the Asian market out in the Furniture Mart area if I could give this place a negative star I would give them 10 because there was no reason for that.
Selections was good, found few items that other Asian supermarket didn't have. Prices were decent. The store seems to be expanding which is good. There are a few items that were expired but was not taken off the shelves and some fruits had molds on them so be careful. Like others mentioned, the locations is pretty bad, near the highway by the intersection which is kind of hard for access.
Can't quite decide if I like this Market. I've been over-charged every time so far. And not just the 3% for using a card, literally the prices of some.items did not match the sticker. I pointed it out at the register last time and got some weird bs response (she did correct it, but I was overcharged on something else). They have these sesame balls I absolutely love, but only Friday and Saturday and they run out a lot. The place is crazy inconveniently located. I am new to Omaha and many roadways are complicated & terrible here, but this one REALLY sucks. I'm always coming to the store from the worst side of the street, and have to cross this super dangerous spot with like 5 roads that intersect there Lol. They do have a pretty nice selection of dry goods, and so-so on produce.
Greetings of kindness & hospitality awaited me while shopping here. Common curtiousy prevails, smiles abound, great prices on most things, all the commodities severely lacking in American marketplaces. Simply put this market brings me happiness, many blessings & literal tears of joy! American capitalist could learn a thing or two, that there still remain better achieved honors than making money in a greedy consumer economy.
